Consumer terms and conditions
These terms apply to sales made directly to consumers. They sit alongside your statutory rights rather than replacing them - nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.
1. Products
SavvyVan supplies vehicle electrical and control products on a supply-only basis. Installation services are not provided.
2. Installation
Products must be installed by suitably qualified persons, following our published installation guide for that product as it stood when you bought it - see the support guides. The guides for our control boards, add-on modules and other fitted parts require them to stay reachable for servicing.
SavvyVan is not responsible for incorrect installation or third-party modifications, or for extra costs caused by an installation that does not follow the guide - for example, additional labour to reach a control board or module fitted behind fixed furniture. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you would rather not fit it yourself, there is a network of independent installers who will - see installation. They are separate businesses, and you contract with them directly.
3. Software licence and updates
Software is licensed for normal product operation.
Updates are provided for the lifetime of the product - meaning for as long as we actively sell it. Separately, and for at least two years from the date your product was supplied, we provide the updates needed to keep it working as described. The full terms are in the end user licence agreement.
4. Warranty and consumer rights
Everything we make includes a 12-month return-to-base warranty. Products we sell but did not make carry their maker’s own warranty - and because you bought them from us, your statutory rights for those are with us too.
SavvyVan3 products qualify for a free additional 12-month warranty if registered within the initial warranty period - register your device.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights. Full details are in the warranty policy.
If a fault means a fitted product has to come out, please contact us before arranging any work, so we can agree the most practical way to do it - usually by sending a tested replacement in advance, so the swap is done in one visit.
If we send a replacement in advance, we may take a refundable payment for it, which we refund once we have the original unit back and have confirmed the fault.
Changing your mind is a separate matter from a fault. There is a 30-day return window for unused items in resellable condition, alongside the statutory right to cancel a distance sale within 14 days - see delivery and returns.
5. Liability
SavvyVan does not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
SavvyVan is not liable for losses arising from incorrect installation or misuse.
6. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If a chargeback is upheld and payment is not received, SavvyVan may require the product to be returned.
7. Related policies
