Back at Shepton Mallet
13 September 2026
A brilliant weekend at the South West Motorhome & Campervan Show, at the Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet. We had the screens out on pitch 146 and the phone app there to try, and it was lovely to catch up with so many familiar faces - and to spot SavvyVan3 panels in some incredible builds around the showground. Thank you to everyone who came to say hello.
Missed us? We will be at the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham in October.
Camperversions fit SavvyVan to their T7s

A day with Fogstar
19 August 2026
We spent the day with the team at Fogstar, looking at where both of us are heading next and how a Fogstar battery and a SavvyVan panel can work even better together.
A few of you had been in touch about connecting a Fogstar battery that is locked with a passcode, so we tested that together too. Since software 2.4.0 the panel asks for a locked battery’s PIN when you pair it and remembers it from then on - there is no need to clear it in the Fogstar app first. The Fogstar guide has the details.

VanLife Festival in Shrewsbury

A busy weekend at VanLife Festival, at the West Midlands Showground from 29 to 31 May. Between us, Druid Vans and SolarGo2 we could barely move, and plenty of you took a look round our own van to see a SavvyVan working in it. Thank you to everyone who came to chat about their builds and road trips.
Out and About Campers announce their own app

Out and About Campers announced the OAAC app, their own app for the campervans they build, powered by SavvyVan and launching in summer 2026. It puts the battery, water and lighting on the owner’s phone, with heating coming soon. If you are a converter and would like one of your own, see your own app.
Five years since the first prototype

This photo is five years old. It is the very first SavvyVan prototype, which never went on sale - just an idea, and a question of whether it would ever become anything. It did, and we could not have got here without everyone who followed along, sent us feedback and cheered us on before we had even launched. Thank you.
Early access to the SavvyVan app

We opened a limited number of early-access places on the phone app to people who already had a SavvyVan fitted, ahead of the launch. Thank you to everyone who tested it and told us what they thought.

The NEC in February, and a first look at the app

A week in Hall 5 at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC, 17 to 22 February - and the first time anybody outside the office saw the SavvyVan phone app, running live on the stand. It is out now.
It was brilliant to catch up with converters fitting SavvyVan to their builds, among them Bespoke Leisure, Hillside Leisure, York Campervans and Out and About Campers, and with Roamer, whose batteries the panel reads directly. Thank you to every single person who came to say hello.

We launched SavvyLights at the NEC: eight dimmable lighting channels, scenes for every mood, and a wireless link to your SavvyVan3, all controlled from the touchscreen.

Ana joined us as a Junior Software Developer. In Ana’s own words:
“I’m Ana, a junior software developer with a background in mechatronics and robotics. I have done a variety of projects both professionally and personally involving 3D modelling, circuit design, and programming. I love getting stuck into a complex problem and figuring out the best solution.
“My role at SavvyVan is to help develop and debug the code so that everything keeps running smoothly.
“When I’m not working, I can usually be found playing volleyball, in the gym, or out walking in nature.”

The Integration Station

At VW Festival we set up what we christened the Integration Station - Roamer, LithiumPro, Fogstar, Teconnex and Pundmann all running together on one panel, so you could see the integrations rather than take our word for them.

Integrations announced during 2024
A run of partnerships, most of which now have proper guides of their own:
- Fogstar batteries - the panel reads the battery directly, which removes the need for a shunt. Guide
- Teconnex Energy batteries - same again, direct connection, no shunt. Guide
- LithiumPro batteries - works out of the box. Guide
- Sargent EC50 and EC51 - an adapter board that replaces the Sargent control panel and takes over the wiring kit. Guide
- BCA / PowerPart - an adapter board that replaces the Seattle control panel. Guide
- Pundmann 12V and 230V water heaters - schedule hot water and dump excess solar charge into it. Guide
- Propex underslung gas tanks - read the gas level and open the solenoid from inside, rather than climbing under the van. Guide
Shows we exhibited at in 2024
VW Festival at Harewood House in Leeds, the Warners South West show at Shepton Mallet, Warners at Lincoln, and the NEC Motorhome and Caravan Show in October with Kartt and Pundmann.
We like doing these. Watching somebody use the panel for thirty seconds tells us more than a month of thinking about it.
If you have never been to one, these two tours by Staycation Lifestyle give you the idea. They were filmed at the NEC in February 2024 rather than at our October show, but it is the same hall and the same crowd.
