Our Ultra Low Current Driver (ULCD) is designed to efficiently manage the power your 12V solenoid needs. This intelligent device delivers a burst of full power to open the solenoid, then quickly reduces the current to just 0.09A to hold it open.
Installation of this device couldn’t be simpler:
Connect the solenoid to the screw terminals marked S-/S+, ensuring polarity is correct. Reversing polarity may damage the solenoid or the driver.
Connect a 12V switched and fused supply to 12V/GND. We recommend fitting an in-line fuse of 2A close to the supply source.
Mount the ULCD in a dry, protected location. It must not be exposed to water or high humidity.
Secure the unit firmly to prevent vibration or movement.
Double-check all wiring before reconnecting power
⚠️ Important Safety Warnings
12V DC Only: This driver is designed for use with 12V DC systems only. Do not connect to any other voltage or AC supply.
Low Current Applications: For low-current solenoid loads only. Exceeding the rated current may cause overheating or permanent damage.
Do not expose to water, moisture, or high humidity. Install in a dry, protected environment only.
Polarity Sensitive: Ensure correct polarity when connecting. Reversing polarity may damage the device.
Disconnect Power Before Wiring: Always disconnect the 12V supply before making or altering connections.
Fuse Protection Recommended: Use an appropriate in-line fuse close to the power source to protect against short circuits.
Do Not Modify: Unauthorized modifications may result in malfunction or unsafe operation.
Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the driver to avoid heat buildup.
Qualified Installation: Installation should be carried out by a competent person familiar with 12V DC electrical systems.
